Nurture - Game Concept

These are creature concepts for a game I designed for a contest on Gamasutra, and I was one of the winners! :)

The main character is the one drawn out - Truruen. Her race is inspired by owls, with their 'hair' being more feather-like and thick.

Super Blocky

Messing around with Maya's nCloth dynamics. Cape needs a lot of tweaking but it's not bad for my first try. Going to render him flying around later.

So many sketchessss. Just trying out various methods in the top two images. :D

Ambient Occlusion Testing

Testing out a new method to shading. SOO happy with the results so far. Just have to clean up the edges, define the shadows and add in highlights. Yaay!

WIP - Character Rain theme

Am doing a theme of rain! So previous character was a cat (progress seen in older postings), and recently I got inspired to do another character of mine. This will be more of a challenge as her clothes will have to look a bit wet, so we'll see how that goes!

I have trouble with odd bendy poses, so I did some practice today. The top right was the most difficult for me.

Baby Dragons!

So I was watching How to Train Your Dragon and the Christmas special of that movie (which my mom got me), annnd they had baby dragons in the christmas special. Omg. Baby dragons. SO CUTE. So I drew some. :D This is a very naughty baby dragon :( He lit the bunny on fire.
